Beautiful Florals

Finally! I have had this Simon Says Stamp June card kit since may (this card kit has sold out, you can get the stamp set seperatly) and I was finally able to use it. June is a really crazy month at our house, 2 boy's birthdays and Father's day. Lots of "boy" cards. So I am so glad I finally got to color something "girly".

I love this stamp set. I love how big the flowers are and I really love how some of the sentiments are so small and dainty. I really like the outlined sentiments, also. Just a beautiful stamp set. Now let's get to the fun stuff.

Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit. Love, Love,Love

I cut a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock to A2 sized (4.25 x 5.5), I later trimmed it smaller. Then stamped my large floral image from the stamp kit with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I love pinky orange flowers so I definitely went with those colors. I used 2 different greens for the leaves, I put down the color in the spots I wanted darker and then used my Kuratake water pen to move the color outward. For the orange flowers, I put the orange down, then took the pink to the orange and blended it and then used my water pen to spread the ink further. Then I used 2 different pink colors for the other flowers. This is really a simple card, but so beautiful!

I really wanted a pop of color behind the floral image, so I used Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink card stock and sprayed that with Imagine Shear Shimmer Craft Spray in Sparkle. The pictures don't do it justice, it is so pretty in real life.

I trimmed the floral piece to 3.5 x 5.5.

Using my MISTI stamping tool, I lined up the sentiment on my card stock, prepped the card stock with my anti-static powder bag, stamped the word using VersaMark ink and embossed it with Recollections white embossing powder. I adhered the floral image to the colored card stock using Mono Tombo tape adhesive, I then stamped the smaller sentiment on white card stock using Simon Says Stamp Intense black ink. I adhered that with foam tape for some dimension. I felt it needed another color for the design to be cohesive, so I used Nuvo Crystal drops in Dandelion Yellow and also in Glitter Gold Coast. I put some of the glitter inside the 2 larger flowers.

I stamped the inside of the card with Lawn Fawn's Ballet Slippers Ink, using a floral image from the kit and the birthday sentiment from the kit, with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.

This card was so relaxing to me, it was so fun to just color. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous week.

Joy
