Hey everyone welcome back to my blog. Today's project is for Spellbinders using their new Modern Essentials Collection. I used these products in the traditional way and some nontraditional ways. I love how the Dies and Glimmer Plates coordinate with each other to make really great cards. To see the full video tutorial click here or watch below.
You can see the Glimmer Foil on this card, the two outside frames are traditional Glimmer Plates and the center foiled rectangle is actually on of the coordinating dies. I used it like a Glimmer plate and foiled it on the card.
On this card I used the dies and glimmer plates for the framed look. For the "Hello" sentiment, I took one of the dies and foiled it, then die cut the word "Hello" and glued it slightly off to the bottom for a "shadow" effect.
Something that I really love is this Stardream Collection Cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse combined with the Glimmer Hot Foil. This paper is shimmery, not like glitter but, a shimmer. I think it is so beautiful together.
