Spellbinders|Glimmer Hot Foil Glimmer Backgrounds

Hi Crafty friends, I don't have a video for this project, with all the delays in the mail I just needed to get this project out. I will definitely explain how I put these cards together. I love Glimmer Hot Foil, it adds such an elegant touch to cards.

So for this card I started with a white piece of 120lb cardstock cut to an A2 size. I inked it with Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade. I used blending brushes and blended the ink until I had a nice transition.

After I let the ink dry, I used the Glimmer Hot Foil System and foiled the background with the Modern Lines Glimmer Plate and Aura Foil. On my YouTube Channel I have a few videos on how to use the Glimmer Hot Foil System. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryc94n8kyDQ)

I hot foiled the sentiment with Becca Feekan's Border's and Sentiments in Aura Foil and trimmed down the strip. I also used some left over flowers from the Small Die Of The Month for June. I trimmed down the foiled background 1/2" on all sides and put foam tip behind it and attached it to an A2 size white card base. I also used foam tape behind the sentiment.

I inked this background with Distress Oxide Ink in Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar for an ombre affect. After it dried, I used the Woven Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Teal Foil and foiled the inked section.

I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant's Blessed Stamp in black ink and the other sentiment in Peacock Feathers Oxide Ink.

I trimmed down the foiled panel 1/2" smaller than an A2 size card, then I framed it with Ebony cardstock and attached it to a white A2 size card base. I adhered the trimmed sentiment with foam tape. I finished the card with some Marina Sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,

Joy
