Blog Hop|Heffy Doodle and Honey Bee Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop

Hi crafty friends. You just came from Jenn Bena. Your next stop is Honey Bee Stamps.

This is a super fun collaboration between Heffy Doodle and Honey Bee Stamps. I decided to make a fun beach scene on a 5x7 card. I love anything to do with the beach, ocean and sea creatures. I used dies from Honey Bee Stamps and Stamps with coordinating dies from Heffy Doodle. Now, I did video this and then accidentally deleted all of the video footage, such a bummer. So I'm sorry no video for this cute card. Everything I used for this card is listed and linked below. All opinions are my own, I use and share what I like. I have some affiliate links, they cost you nothing to use.

Beach Scene

I started by die cutting three waves using the Makin' Waves Long Border, then I used another wave to die cut the "sand". I then die cut the sandcastle using the Sand Castle Builder and the palm tree from the Beach House Add-On.

I inked the waves with Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers. The sand and Sand Castle with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain. For the Palm Tree I used Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles for the Palm Fronds, and Walnut Stain for the trunk.

I stamped the images from A Little Shellfish and You Go, Gull stamp sets. I used black copic friendly ink and white cardstock. I colored the crabs and lobster using R24, 46, 39, 20, 22. The shell for the hermit crab is colored in Bg10, 11, 13, I also used that color combo for the pin wheels along with B04, 24.The Bouy is colored in R24, 46, 39 and B04, 24, 26. The cute seagulls are collored with C1, 2, 4, 6 and YR04.

I started with a piece of cardstock 1/4" smaller than 5x7. I inked the top of it with Tumbled Glass for the sky. I adhered the waves and sand then attached the res of the elements. I used foam tape behind parts of the sandcastle, hermit crab, lobster, seagull and the top of the palm tree. I tucked a little crab in the sandcastle, he is so cute peeking out.

I put the card into the Misti and stamped the sentiment with black ink. I added some finishing details, with a black glaze pen for the eyes, a white gel pen for the eyes, highlights and cheeks. I added a bit to the sand with E30, 33, 37 for detail in the sand, sand castle and under all of the critters. I just added small dots of each color and a light shadow under the same images. I added that card panel to a white 5x7 card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

Joy
